Exhibit details: Oct 1 - Dec 18, Tue-Sun, 1-4pm. An initiative to reduce the isolation artists experienced during Covid, the installation is composed of 3 sections: left panel was created by Line Dufour, referencing the contemporary practice of tapestry; middle of irregular shapes contributed by weavers worldwide; end panel was woven by visiting participants. As Dufour receives each weaver’s shape it is documented and posted to the project’s social media. To date, 864 shapes have been received from 43 countries, and a total of about 520 people have participated. The installation continues to expand as it accepts woven pieces on an ongoing basis.

An initiative to reduce the isolation artists experienced during Covid, the installation is composed of 3 sections: left panel was created by Line Dufour, referencing the contemporary practice of tapestry; middle of irregular shapes contributed by weavers worldwide; end panel was woven by visiting participants. As Dufour receives each weaver’s shape it is documented and posted to the project’s social media. To date, 864 shapes have been received from 43 countries, and a total of about 520 people have participated. The installation continues to expand as it accepts woven pieces on an ongoing basis. Vernissage: Oct 1, 2-4pm.

The historical imagery recalls the 19th and 20th centuries using symbols of a time just beyond living memory, while the minerals are naturally formed from ancient times. An initiative to reduce the isolation artists experienced during Covid, the installation is composed of 3 sections: left panel was created by Line Dufour, referencing the contemporary practice of tapestry; middle of irregular shapes contributed by weavers worldwide; end panel was woven by visiting participants. As Dufour receives each weaver’s shape it is documented and posted to the project’s social media. To date, 864 shapes have been received from 43 countries, and a total of about 520 people have participated. The installation continues to expand as it accepts woven pieces on an ongoing basis. Vernissage: Oct 1, 2-4pm.
