MVTM Show: Colour with a U (Quilts)
Apr 30 - Jul 2. Colour with a U is a juried exhibition of 35 art quilts created by Cdn SAQA members. In Canada, we spell colour with a “u”. We care about the “u”, it makes us unique. We care about the “you”, it brings us together. 44 artists have reflected on the theme of diversity & inclusion to give “colourful” representations of our Cdn cultural identity. Each offers an individual perspective on how we as Cdns see ourselves in our social, historical, & physical landscape.

Folkus: The Pairs/Tragedy Ann [moved from Jan 29 to Jun 4]
Folkus Concert Series
Tragedy Ann are based in Guelph. With intimacy and care, Liv Cazzola and Braden Phelan favour a flashlight over a spotlight in songs for community, nature, and hardworking hospital staff. Braiding organic vocal harmonies with accordion, singing saw, guitars, and ukulele, Tragedy Ann’s arrangements are as delicate as they are driving.  The Pairs are a joyous and energetic female-fronted folk-pop group hailing from London, Ontario. Led by the powerhouse (classically trained) vocals of Renee and Noelle Coughlin and Hillary Watson. They are backed by recovering punk drummer Steve Plimmer. The Pairs create acoustic harmony pop tunes grounded in unique rhythms that will hug your ear drums and inspire you to dance.

Perth Independent Cinema Society (PICS)
2pm & 7pm. 2021 Spielberg film. Tix: $12.50 at TicketsPlease.ca. Manhattan, Upper West Side, 1957. Against the backdrop of the decaying tenements in the San Juan Hill neighbourhood and the constant threat of the wrecking ball, two warring gangs — tough Riff’s Jets and swaggering Bernardo’s Puerto Rican Sharks — fight for supremacy. Now, with a once-and-for-all, winner-takes-all rumble on the cards, an unexpected whirlwind romance at the high-school dance between former Jet brawler Tony and Bernardo’s delicate little sister María sets the stage for an all-out turf war. Exhibition: George Horan, Boundaries
Jun 22 to Jul 29. Based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, George Horan's paintings are inspired by the terrain of the Newfoundland coastal landscape. “These paintings explore the ephemeral and the permanent in life. The boundary between the two elements is often ambiguous as is also the case in our environment and in ourselves. The paintings in this exhibition are all of places that speak to me of their struggles.” The exhibition can be seen in-person during our regular Gallery hours: Tue-Sat, 11am-5pm, Sun 11am-4pm.
