MVTM Show: Material World on the Mississippi
By the turn of the 19th century, there were 10 woolen mills in Almonte, which employed upwards of 120 people, with the Rosamond Woolen Company Mill employing just over 400. Approximately 1,600 of Almonte's 3,000 residents worked in a textile mill. This exhibition will illustrate this rich history and the manufacturing process, with new interactive and hands-free videos where visitors will see and hear first-hand accounts of the industry from former textile mill workers from the region.

Apr 3, 2pm; Apr 5-9, 7:30pm. Accusations, mistaken identities, & romances run wild in this traditional, laugh-out-loud farce. Two nuns at the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing have been secretly making wine to keep the convent's doors open, but Paul & Sally, reporters & former fiancées, are hot on their trail. They go undercover as nun & priest, but their presence, combined with the addition of a new nun, spurs paranoia throughout the convent. Wine & secrets are inevitably spilled as everyone tries to preserve the convent & reconnect with lost loves. Tickets: ticketsplease.ca.
