Grab your holiday calendar and a red or green pen, and make room for some or all of these upcoming events in Perth.

On Sunday, December 15, Artizen Kombucha will be holding a Festive Kombucha Workshop at their brewery at 12 Gore Street East. They will wear holiday sweaters, have sweet treats and a tea ceremony, and then delve into kombucha making with the participants. You can register and find out more at artizenkombucha.ca . And don’t forget that Artizen shares space with the Perth Pie Company perthpieco.ca , so you can stock up on solid as well as liquid deliciousness while you’re there!

The Perth Citizens’ Band will be holding its annual Christmas Concert on Tuesday, December 17 starting at 7:30pm. This year marks the 27th year of this event, which once again will be held at St. James’ Anglican Church, at the corner of Drummond and Harvey Streets in Perth. From the 1920s to 1940s the band played concerts during the holiday season, and the long-standing tradition of holding a Christmas Concert at the church was revived in 1993 by conductor Brian Tackaberry. The annual Christmas Concert will feature a variety of sacred and popular tunes familiar to guests of all ages, and this year’s special guest will be Perth’s Town Crier Brent McLaren. The program will also include a sing-along for the audience to join in on several carols and songs. Admission for the evening is $5 per person or $10 for families. And you know the date of New Year’s Eve, but you should probably contact the Perth Manor right away to reserve your spot for their delectable six-course dinner, accompanied by the talented Valerie Leavitt on piano. This next event isn’t taking place in Perth, and it isn’t happening until June, but we at theHumm thought you would want to know well in advance about the 21st annual Stratford Festival Tour!

Heidi Stepanek and Peter Dixon from Perth’s Academy for Musical Theatre invite everyone to register early to join them for three days of some of the best theatre in the world, luxury coach transportation, two nights’ accommodation in the Arden Park Hotel, and special meet & greet with theatre professionals — an experience of a lifetime for all ages!
