Music starts at 7PM on Friday and at noon on Saturday and Sunday. Following each day’s headliner, the action moves to the large refreshment tent with The Mick Armitage Band and special guests performing from 10PM until 1AM.
Ricky Skaggs Headlines
On Sunday night Riverside Jam is very proud to present the best that Nashville has to offer: Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder. They are recognized as one of the best touring bands in the world with over forty top-ten hits to their credit. Come see and hear the best in bluegrass and country to perform in this area — be at Riverside Jam without fail! Ambush opens for Ricky Skaggs.
Among this year’s Canadian headliners are Amanda Wilkinson, Aaron Lines, Lisa Brokop and Aaron Pritchett — all with their full bands. Ronnie Prophet and George Fox are also performing. Many local favourites will be at the show, including Ambush, The Bowes Brothers, The Radio Kings, Gail Gavan, Louis Schryer, The Mick Armitage Band, Marc Ekins Band, The Posse, Patti Lamoureaux Band, McMunn Music with Freddie Dixon, Brock Zeman, Hope Street Band and Valley Idol.
Excellent food vendors are open all day and evening at Riverside Jam. Ample free parking and shuttle services are provided, and some of the most beautiful campsites are available directly across the road in Bodner Park. There is a zero tolerance approach to drinking and driving, and Security will escort any troublemakers off the grounds. No pets, glass or coolers are allowed in the concert area.
This event is again proudly presented by members of The Diamond Foundation, chaired by Jeff Jackson. Presenters would like to thank the many local sponsors that have come on board with advertising and services to date. Bud McMillan has one of the best volunteer groups ever assembled. Event co-ordinator Davey Drummond, in conjunction with Ron Sparling of The Laurie-Ann Agency, has put together one of the best lineups in years to perform in the Valley. For those of you wanting to advertise in our Jam Booklet call 253–5257 as deadline is July 20. Be proud of Carleton Place and Riverside Jam — they’ve built a winner!
